This camping trip is for fit, adaptable, curious and good-humoured people (6-8) who want to explore a lesser known part of Nepal. We reach an altitude of 3800m and can see spectacular views of Kanchenjunga from one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Eastern Nepal. In Spring we walk through forests of rhododendron and if you are really lucky, you may spot a rare Red Panda!

At the pilgrimage site of Pathibhara at just under 3800 m, we can watch the sunrise and can spend hours here, watching the mountains, taking photographs, chatting with the pilgrims and soaking up the wonderful atmosphere of this very special and significant place. Eventually we’ll wander back down to Upper Phedi for dal bhat and bed!
